Here’s an Ad Hack That Will Produce Instant Sales [Video]

Here’s an ad hack that will produce instant sales. It doesn’t matter if you’re in B2B or B2C, this works. It works so well, I’ve been using it for over five years and I haven’t seen a slowdown from it. And best of all, it’s responsible for 6% of my sales. I know that sounds small, but every little bit adds up. And there really isn’t a silver bullet in marketing. You have to combine multiple tactics to get the results you want. So what is it, Neil? Well, it’s a unique form of remarketing.RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/____________________________________________Now, here’s how most people use remarketing. And if you’re not familiar with it, you’ll understand. When someone comes to your website, let’s say your homepage, and they don’t buy. Most people will re-market that visitor. That means they have a pixel on their website through Google or Facebook. And they’re saying, hey, whenever they’re on Google or Facebook or any of the properties they control, show them an ad for my business again. And then someone clicks on that ad. And then they go back to your homepage. What’s wrong with that though? Well, if they went to your homepage, and it didn’t convince them to buy, sending them an ad that goes back to your homepage most of the time won’t convince them to buy. They already saw everything on your homepage and didn’t care. So sending them back usually doesn’t work 99% of the time. Now here’s how I do remarketing. And it’s a big twist. And this video is short and to the point, because if you just go out and implement it, you’re going to get results. Look, if someone visits your homepage, or product page, or whatever offer page that you have, you have copy that tries to convince them to buy. That copy is either logical or emotional. Right, it has either facts and data or it has a story that tries to appeal to their emotion and convince them to buy. Sometimes you have a little bit of both. So what I do is if my product or service or landing page was data-driven, logical with facts and data and they didn’t buy, I then show them a remarketing ad that is emotional and then sends them to landing page that sells that same product or service, but uses emotion to persuade them. Because if logic didn’t persuade them to buy, maybe emotions will. On the flip side, if someone first comes to my website and they land on a product or service page that uses emotion to sell, and they weren’t convinced to buy, I use a remarketing ad that has data and logic and stats that then convinces them to buy. And the ad drives them to landing page that has all that data and stats and testimonials and proof points that says, hey other people are satisfied, you will be too and here’s all the data that shows why. So when you do that, you’re much more likely to generate the sale because you’re switching up your pitch. In other words, if someone came to your website they didn’t purchase the first time, you can’t get them back to your website and use the same pitch all over again. Well, technically you can, but it usually doesn’t work because it didn’t work the first time. You got to switch it up and try a different type of pitch. And that’s how you make remarketing ads work. The 5 Industries Most Likely to Make You a Fortune as a Digital Marketer [Video]

How to outsource your marketing to the right ad agency. See, if you hire a company, even those that work with Fortune 100 companies, and they put junior people on your account that have never done marketing before, it doesn’t matter if you hire me or someone else, you need to look at the people who are actually working on your account and doing the work. What are their qualifications? RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/____________________________________________Step #1 is, make sure you’re not just hiring an ad agency, you’re hiring specific people within that ad agency who are working on your account. So make sure you have really good people on your account, and make sure their credentials aren’t just great, and their track record is not just great, but they also have experience within your industry, which means they’ll be able to produce results quicker. Two, you need to make sure that company has industry experience. So when they’re pitching you, let’s say if you’re a FinTech company, they need to show you other examples of FinTech companies that they produce results for. And they need to provide references for this, because when they do that, there’s a higher chance that they’ll be able to provide results for you as well. The third thing that you need to do is, before you even work with that company, they need to analyze your business and tell you everything that’s wrong. They need to tell you everything that’s wrong in such a detailed overview, you’re going to be like. And if they’re not willing to break it all down for you and break down how they can drive the results, what you’re doing wrong, what needs to be fixed, in what order, to get the results you’re looking for, then you’re wasting your time. So make sure they do that. The next thing you need to do is have Goal Alignment. What are the goals that you’re trying to achieve? And can they achieve it? Sometimes, people come to us and they say, “Hey we’re a venture funded startup, “we raised a hundred million dollars. “We have no revenue, “and we want you to help us get to 20 million in revenue “in the next six months.” Literally, I’ve had someone call me and ask for that. But that doesn’t logically make sense for you to take them on as a client if you’re an agency, because if you can’t produce the results, they’re going to be upset at you in turn anyways. So make sure that the goals are aligned both from the agency end and from you as the business owner or the marketer or the CMO, or whoever’s hiring that agency. If you guys can’t align on the goals, it’s not going to work out. The last thing I have for you is, make sure time zones are similar. With marketers these days, they can be working from anywhere, especially with people going remote. Just because someone is from the United States, doesn’t mean they live in the United States. They can be working from one of those islands. And you know, Thailand, that’s, looks amazing, at least from the pictures, but you don’t want to do calls in the middle of the night, your time, it would just be super inconvenient for you. So you need to make sure that they’re on your time zone. It doesn’t matter if they came from the same city. If they’re not on your time zone, it’s going to be a pain. That’s how you find a agency that produces results. Now, there’s a lot of other things that you may want to look out for as well, but those are the main pitfalls that I see companies making when they’re hiring agencies. The Easiest Way To Build Backlinks [Video]

The Easiest Way To Build Backlinks. Look, backlinks don’t have to be hard to build. Everyone says, “Write amazing content you’re going to get links.” You know what? If you write the content, don’t promote it. No one’s going to see it. No one’s going to link to it. Even if you promote it, it’s still hard to get links. People used to be willing to link way more back in the day than they are now. RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________CodeCanyon: https://codecanyon.net/Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/___________________________________________So, one way that a lot of people will build links, and this isn’t my favorite way but I’m going to actually mention two ways. I’m going to break down the second easiest way and then I’m going to break down the easiest way. The second easiest way to build links is using the backlink opportunity report in Ubersuggest. So when you go to Ubersuggest, you put in your domain name, and you put in three of your competitors, it’ll show you everyone who links to your competitors but does not link to you. Think of it this way, “If someone links to one of your competitors will they link to you?” Maybe. They may like your competition, not you. Look, if someone is willing to link to not one, not two, but three of your competitors. The chances are they’ll link to you because they’re not loyal to any competitors. So, with the backlink opportunity report issues you the exact pages, people are linking to your competitors, and if someone’s linking to three of your competitors, and you see the exact pages you would just want to create a better version of those pages, email them, chances are they’ll be willing to swap out the link. Not everyone will, but a good chance. Now, that’s not the easiest way I’ve built links but that is my second favorite way. Now my favorite way of building links. All right. Have you ever seen neilpatel.com/ubersuggest? That’s a tool. It’s a tool on SEO, and it helps you get more traffic. It’s a free tool. There’s also a paid version but you can do a lot of stuff for free. Well, a lot of my competitors charge for you can do for free. So here’s what’s cool about it. If you release enough stuff for free in a tool that people are used to paying for, whether it’s $5, or $10, or a hundred dollars, people link to that. Why? Because it’s easy. People love linking to stuff that’s easy and cheap, right? Or free. Why would you pay $5 when you can pay zero? So if it’s easy for them they don’t have to swipe a credit card, they don’t have to pay, There’s no user registration, They’re much more likely to link to it. that Ubersuggest tool has over 10,000 backlinks. So how do you build a tool if you don’t have tons of money? Well, you can use sites like CodeCanyon, and at CodeCanyon, you can find tools on almost every industry. Pay maybe $10, $20, $30, white label it, pop it on your website, over time it helps you build links. Even if you suck at promoting it, believe it or not, I learned that one the hard way. That’s why I love tools so much. Or you can just go Google for like free, you know, SEO tool. Free white label, you know, real estate tool, and then just pop them on your website. And then over time, it’ll start generating you backlinks. That’s how you build links in the easiest way. It’s a long term approach, works super well. I don’t recommend that you stop writing content or stop doing any of the other link building approaches but you should just pop up the tool on your website, and just give it time and you’ll build links plus do what you’re already doing, and that everyone else is talking about. When you combine both of them, that’s how you start beating your competition when it comes to building backlinks and out ranking them. How to Find Unlimited Content Ideas for Social Media in 2022 [Video]

How to find unlimited content ideas for your social media in 2022? This promise may sound unrealistic to you, and I get it. For most people, it’s super challenging to come up with even a few ideas for their social media content, especially when you’re not used to creating content in any way or shape or form. RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________BuzzSumo: https://buzzsumo.com/Quora: https://www.quora.com/Ahrefs: https://ahrefs.com/Feedly: https://feedly.com/Semrush: https://www.semrush.com/Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/____________________________________________One of the most incredible things about the internet is that you have direct access to tools, ideas, and overall, just a bunch of people doing interesting things, and you can see what’s working for them and what’s not. You don’t need to rely just on your own creativity, you can leverage other people’s as well. And I’m going to show you how to do it on your own effectively and get all the ideas out there without having a team like me. So here are a few ways that you can start collecting ideas for social media. First is, questions from your customers. What questions do they have? Consider answering them. Comments on in your content. See, when you post up content, people leave comments. If people all like a specific comment, that means other people have that same issue, post about it. I also love looking at Quora. Quora has so many interesting things like, what does it take to be an Olympian, right? That’s really cool stuff. When you see stuff that’s really popular in your space, leverage that, post content around it. Then you have Facebook groups. Look at what users are complaining about, their pain points, what they’re commenting about, what they’re helping each other about. This all happens within Facebook groups within your industry. Heck, you can even look at FAQ pages on competitor websites. This provides tons of feedback. Then got Twitter search, you got YouTube, you got any platform out there like Ahrefs, Semrush, even Ubersuggest, it all tells you keywords that people are looking at. Heck, you can even use an Ubersuggest Chrome extension so that way when you’re on YouTube, it shows you other related topics and ideas that are popular as well. And you can see what videos are getting traction and which ones aren’t all through the Ubersuggest Chrome extension. Then you got Google Alerts. What’s popping up? And if you’re not sure what’s really sexy in your space right now, look at Google Trends. It’ll show you what’s booming within your space. Then you got Feedly, subscribe to tons of blogs within your space. You’ll see what they’re cranking out, watch the content as it starts to trend really quickly. And that’ll give you ideas. Then you got BuzzSumo, it’ll break down all the popular content within your space, or you can just use Ubersuggest content ideas and it’ll show you the most popular content, not just based on social shares, but also backlinks and SEO traffic. Now you’ve got content that works for social media and SEO. Instagram Content Strategy 101 (How I Took My Instagram From 0 to 300,000 Followers) [Video]

How I went from zero Instagram followers to 300,000 followers, and I’m not talking about buying likes or followers or comments or any of that kind of dodgy stuff, I’m talking about purely organic growth, not ads, literally organic growth. I’ll admit that it hasn’t been a smooth ride. There’s been a lot of downs, a few ups, but I’ve learned a lot of valuable lessons that made those ups really high, that got me a ton of followers. And I’ll break down the things that have been the most impactful in my growth. so that way, you don’t have as many downs as me. RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________Canva: https://www.canva.com/Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/____________________________________________Based on its global advertising audience, reach numbers, Instagram has at least 1,393 billion users around the world as of October, 2021. It’s grown by 20.3% in a matter of 12 months, which makes it roughly 235 million new users on Instagram. You may think it’s a bit too late to join the party but it’s only getting started. Every day, I see new accounts growing from zero to hundreds and thousands of followers. Will you go to a million right away? No, that’s unrealistic, but you can get thousands. And though the competition is increasing a lot, you can still earn lots of attention if you do the right things. When I was first starting off at the beginning, I did this experiment. I took content from other channels like YouTube and Facebook, and I just posted it on Instagram. I took image-based content and I posted it there too. I tried lots of different content types until I started finding the right things that worked the best. Now, what I did when I reached 50,000 followers was a bit different. I started doing partnerships with influencers. I head up other influencers in the same niche, not a different niche, same niche, and we went live together, we reposted, and my followers would go to their pages and start following them or their profiles and their followers would go to my profile and start following me. Here’s some of the simple things I did in addition to partnerships. I also, when I started hitting 50,000 followers, I started doing Twitter screenshots. Put a quote on Twitters, screenshot it, pop that up on Instagram as well. I also did image carousels. Think about an infographic just broken down into five or six slides so people can swipe and get data. And you can do that with Canva for free. Now, when I reach 200,000 followers, I started doing things a little bit differently, reels, right? Back then, I don’t even know if reels were out when I first started on Instagram, but I started doing reels and I started doubling down on doing reels as it was starting to boom. Eventually, some of my reels worked, some didn’t, I quickly learned what topics people love and what they don’t. I also doubled down on partnerships. Partnerships were working out. Kept doing more of them but with bigger influencers. I also started being guests on other people’s accounts for lives. See, originally when I was doing partnerships, I would go live on someone else’s profile and then they would go live on my profile. That’s how we cross-promote it. But once I started having enough of an audience, I would just go live on their profile and not live on my profile and have them on mine, right? In other words, I would only be on their account and they wouldn’t be on my account. And that brought in a lot of followers and I didn’t have to go as often with my audience and give them fatigue. Content Marketing VS SEO // Which One Drives More Traffic? [Video]

If you had to pick SEO or content marketing, and you could only pick one, which one would you choose? Today I’m going to break down content marketing versus SEO. Which one drives more traffic?RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/____________________________________________00:00 – Introduction00:23 – The old SEO Vs Content Marketing debate01:16 – The Beginner’s Guide To Content Marketing01:25 – Doing Content Marketing On Different Platforms02:03 – Targeting The Right Keyword and Offering Amazing Content02:31 – Writing Great Headlines And Meta Descriptions For Your Content.02:54 – Optimizing Your Content For Readability 03:09 – Structure Data03:43 – Internal Linking03:58 – User Experience Improvements04:22 – Importance Of Optimizing And Having a Good Content on Your Bottom Line. What do you think? Is it SEO? Is it content marketing? Well, you’re about to find out. A lot of people actually say, “This is a false debate since SEO and content marketing should work together.” And that’s definitely true when it comes to generating traffic on your own website. If SEO’s about optimizing pages on your website, ultimately you’ll be optimizing the pages that at least have some content, whether it’s your title, maybe a description, it doesn’t have to be a blog post. So there is truth to it in which it’s really hard to do SEO if you don’t have content. And a lot of people who watch my channel already know SEO to some degree, but with content marketing, most people don’t. So we could say that content marketing has more potential to generate traffic than SEO if you think about it in more holistically. Beyond just visitors, you could be getting views to your YouTube videos, engagement, followers, even clicks on social media channels, people listening and subscribing to your podcast, viewers in your live event. Now most of my audience is focused pretty heavily on generating traffic to their own websites. So let’s dive in to how content marketing and SEO should work together. The bottom line is your content won’t perform well unless you do SEO as well. Sure, you make it a social boost from it in the short run but if you want long-lasting traffic, you need a focus on SEO and content marketing. And of course, content marketing can drive you traffic without SEO, like YouTube, podcasts, that are all examples of content marketing but if you combine both, you’ll do even better. Why Your Content Gets ZERO Attention and Traffic (Even When It’s Fully SEO-Optimized) [Video]

Are you tired of writing content that doesn’t get read? Well, who wouldn’t be? But, do you want to fix it? Of course you do and I’m going to teach you how. Today, I’m going to break down why your content gets zero attention and traffic, even when it’s fully SEO-optimized. RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________Ahrefs: https://ahrefs.com/Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/____________________________________________A study by Ahrefs showed that 90.63% of content gets no traffic from Google. Think about that, that’s one out of 10 pages that are getting traffic, nine out of 10 pages are getting no traffic. That’s a lot of content that’s getting no traffic, and there are a few reasons why your content is getting noticed. And there’s a few reasons why your content isn’t getting noticed. So, let’s go into each of the reasons. Reason number one, you’re targeting only head terms and keywords, because if you only target those big popular terms, you’re not going to get that much traffic. Start targeting variations of these longer tail keywords as well. Great example of this is, how to get more followers on Instagram? How to get more Instagram followers? You see there? One was, how to get more Instagram followers? And one was, how to get more followers on Instagram? So, when you do variations of these, and you build up those topic clusters or content clusters, to support your overall authority around those bigger topics and head terms, you’re going to start ranking better, and that’s how you compete with the Wikipedias of the world. Now, reason number two, optimizing for search engines instead of visitors. Look, no matter how much time you spend optimizing your on-page SEO, even making sure your content contains all the keywords that you’re targeting, the long tail ones, the head terms, the variations of them, that just won’t work if your content doesn’t help people. So, even if you put together the best content piece around the iPhone 13, and teaching people how to use it and all the features, that doesn’t really mean you’re going to get any traffic to it. People are just really looking in most cases to just buy iPhone 13. Reason number three, you’re not doing contextual internal linking. When you write content in certain area, let’s say you’re blogging about marketing, chances are there are plenty of opportunities for you to internal link to other content piece on your website. Let’s say for example that I’m writing an article about social media marketing, and you also have another page on Instagram marketing. Now, if I had to fudge in Instagram marketing into my social media marketing article and it doesn’t really fit, then I wouldn’t do it, but you already know Instagram is social media, so it should fit.Reason four, your page doesn’t have enough backlinks. Backlinks are still one of the most important ranking signals and Google takes it into account when serving users with search results. It’s just like a presidential election, the more votes the president gets, the more likelier to win. The similar way happens with the web. The more backlinks the page has, the more organic traffic it gets from Google. You should focus on creating content that has the potential to naturally attract backlinks and keep working on your link building efforts over time. Reason five, your content isn’t evergreen. Not every content piece should be evergreen, but the majority of your content should be. If you’re going to write content that is only going to be relevant for a month in your new site, that’s fine, but if it’s a huge amount of effort to create that content, then why are you’re really wasting it? Focus on long-term results.Reason six, your page takes too long to load. It goes beyond just SEO, it goes all about experience. I don’t care how many backlinks do you have or how good your SEO is, as a user, if I search and I click on your site and it takes like 10 seconds to load, do you think I’m going to be sticking around? No, unless you have like some crazy deal and you’re selling me an Apple laptop that’s brand new with no defects for a hundred dollars, I’m not going to wait 10 seconds. Today, I’m going to break down 20 Years of Marketing, The Seven Most Important Lessons I Learned.RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/____________________________________________Now you’ve been doing marketing for a while, or you’re a business owner, or you’re just getting started in a marketing. A question for you. What’s the most important lesson you learned? Leave a comment below letting me know that lesson. So let’s start off with the first lesson. Start small, but look out for scale, okay? So here’s what I mean by that. When we’re thinking about scale, typically, I start off small. When I mean small, I’m talking not 5,000, not 10,000, I usually start off less than $1,000, even at our size, and I try to see what works. It doesn’t mean I won’t ramp up the next day to 10,000 or a 100,000, but I really try to start off small to try to figure out what works. Now, if I’m paying for services or hiring an agency, it’s a little bit different because someone’s creating a plan for me, and then executing on it. But if I’m doing it myself, I try to start off small because just because a channel or a tactic work for a competitor, it doesn’t mean it works for me, so I try to start off small. The second lesson I ended up learning, my biggest skillset and my buddy, Eric, always talks about this, is I execute extremely fast. Speed is everything. So I focused on executing fast and then adapting, and A/B testing, and tweaking, to make it better over time. It’s just like a website design. Everyone’s like, “Oh, I’m going to release a new website.” We don’t do that. We just continually A/B test our websites until we come up with a perfect variation. And then you can have someone tweak the designs and make sure it works. But that’s the model we use. The third one, learn from your mistakes. In marketing, you’re going to make a lot of mistakes. When I first started out my career when I was a 16 year old kid. Keep in mind those, really young. I would be like, “Black Hat SEO, what’s this? Let’s try, oh cool, I’m ranking at top making money.” Now times are changing, I would never recommend anyone to do that. I was a foolish 16 year old kid. I wish I had a time machine. I can go back in time and tell myself, “Don’t do that again.” The next lesson, hire people who have done it before. This one, I actually didn’t learn until roughly a year ago. So the way I usually built my businesses is you build a business, you keep learning from your failures and mistakes, and then you just keep at it. And you just keep going, you execute fast, you know, and hopefully things work out. But what I learned, and this took me a long time to learn. There’s other people out there who have been where I am. There’s other people out there who have been where I want to be, which is even better.Next one, be consistent. Look, I can’t tell you how many times that people would have had a massive business and done well on their marketing, if they were just consistent. If you’re consistent, you’ll do well. So when you constantly put your brand and associate it with influencers or other trustworthy elements, or other things that you know people are paying attention to, it helps build a brand, and that builds longevity. Last but not least, make it easy for people to buy from you. If you make it hard, no one’s going to really buy from you. PayPal, Shopify Pay, these are all solutions that make it really easy. Now, more than 18% of our customers use PayPal, but before PayPal, literally, if we got 100 conversions, we ended up with 118 after PayPal. Now, what portion you pay through PayPal or pay through other sources like credit card, or using Stripe, or Adyen, or anything like that? It varies, but just adding PayPal as a payment option because it’s super simple, roughly 18% increase. The BEST Marketing Strategy is Often The SIMPLEST – Here’s Why [Video]

Do you feel marketing is complex? Trust me, you’re not alone, but there’s actually good news for you. Today, I’m going to break down the best marketing strategy and how it’s often the simplest. And here’s why.RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/____________________________________________Tell me how many things you’re doing at the same time when it comes to your marketing. If you’re doing SEO and social media, that counts as two. If you’re using social media on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, that counts as a handful, four or five. I don’t know how many I named, but you get the point. So lists out in the comment below how many marketing tasks are you focusing on right now? And let me know in the comment, if you also feel overwhelmed or you’re able to manage it that way, we can see how other marketers feel and entrepreneurs and what is best. And I’ll also break down what’s best in this field. So chances are, if your marketing strategy is full of bells and whistles, you’re going to fail. Especially if you’re starting out with a new website, new product, new service, new offer, and you don’t have people work for you. The best marketing strategy is probably the simplest marketing strategy. So how do you scale up marketing efforts in the real world? You do one experiment at a time and then you scale up. It really is that simple. Once you’ve done that and it works well and you scaled it up and that’s the key, you’ve scaled it up. You’re getting it to a place where it’s doing well enough. Then you explore other marketing channels and experiments until then you stick with that one channel. If you can’t make that channel work, then you can skip to another channel. But once you find that one that works somewhat well, not just focus on it, but scale it up. Your primary focus when you’re starting out should be perfecting your offer. If an offer works well in one channel, chances are you can scale to other channels, especially with paid ads. If an offer is failing repeatedly everywhere and you’re testing it you don’t want to try to scale it up. You need to iterate until you find an angle that your audience resonates with. And that’s the mistake people make. They believe, oh, I’m selling shoes, I’m selling watches. Let me just scale things up and get it going. How do you know people like your product? Well, let’s say they do like your product, or even if they like your service, how do you know your messaging resonates with them? How do you know that they like your checkout flow? How do you know that they understand what your product or service looks like by the images or through case studies or testimonials? You got to actually iterate your offer and make you convert before you scale up the marketing. And that’s why when you’re starting off, you should focus on one channel and get it going. If you’re not sure which channel to focus on first, I highly recommend starting off with paid ads. I’m not saying you need tons of money. I’m not saying you should spend thousands of dollars a week or a month. Paid ads will give you really quick insights. If you can actually drive conversions. It may not be profitable at first, and that’s okay, but if you know it converts, you’re good to go and then you can figure out what marketing channel works best for you. See if you start with SEO on a brand new website, you won’t know for six months how you’re performing and you’re not even going to be ranked number one in most cases within six months. But if you do paid ads, you’ll get a rough understanding if your copy your product, your service resonates with your audience. And that’s the important part. And that’s the part that most people forget in marketing when they’re starting off. And that’s what I want you to focus on early on. Yeah, you may not consider that marketing, but it’s important because without that marketing doesn’t really work. And once you figure that out, just pick one channel, scale it up and then go add the next.
