Finding The Easiest Opportunities for Link Building In Less Than 3 Minutes [Video]

There’s a new, simple way to find backlinks, and I’m going to teach it to you in less than five minutes. Today, I’m going to break down how to find the easiest opportunities for link building in less than three minutes.RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/____________________________________________So, out of curiosity, how many of you use Ubersuggest? Let me know in the comments below. There’s this new report on Ubersuggest that makes backlinking super easy and it’s called backlink opportunities. So if you go to Ubersuggest and you type in your URL, on the left-hand navigation, you can click on backlinks then go to backlink opportunities. And what this report does is it shows you all the people who link to your competitors that don’t link to you. So you would want to put in your URL, and put in up to three of your competitors. If you don’t know who your competitors are, Google for any of the terms that you rank for, and you’ll see your competitors, and add those URLs to the Ubersuggest backlink opportunity report. If that doesn’t work for you, in Ubersuggest there’s a competitor’s report. Put in your URL and it’ll show you all the other people who rank for similar keywords to you or the same exact keywords to you. Those are also competitors, and you can use that to put ’em into backlink opportunities. So in the backlink opportunities report, this shows you who links to your competitors that doesn’t link to you. If someone links to three, four, or five of your competitors, the chances are they’re willing to link to you, too. They don’t have any bias towards one of your competitors, they link to multiple of ’em, so they like ’em all. And if they like ’em all and you hit them up and ask for a link, the chances are they’ll link to you, as well. That’s why I love this report. Now you can’t just hit ’em up and be like, hey, you linked to four or five of my competitors, link to me as well. People are going to ignore you. But look at why they’re linking to your competitors, because that backlink opportunities report will show you the exact page you’re linking to. And if you see the type of content they’re linking to, go and create better content than that. Write that. Seriously, make it better than your competitor, make it more in-depth, make sure it solves all problems, have step-by-step instructions, maybe animated GIFs helping you explain them, maybe infographics even, maybe even add in some videos, and assuming the experience is better and you’re just not creating long content for the sake of it, you can hit that site up and show ’em how your content is better than the competition, explain to them how it’s going to benefit their readers more, and ask them for a backlink. And the chances are, they’ll be willing to link to you, assuming your content’s better. That’s it, that’s all you need to do. And if you do that at scale and you do that within your niche, you’ll generate more backlinks than your competition. 7 Ecommerce Marketing Secrets You Can Learn From Big Brands [Video]

Do you want to learn the secrets that big brands use to create massive e-commerce stores? Today I’m going to break down seven e-commerce marketing secrets you can learn from big brands. RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________Spiralyze: https://www.spiralyze.com/ Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/____________________________________________So let’s dive right in. Number one, nail your product page, from meta descriptions to title text, to even the title and description on your homepage or of your product page or your listing pages. And you want the optimal format. Natural, compelling clickworthy pages that are easy to navigate. I recommend that you add multiple, high-quality product shots. And ideally, if you can do 3D views, even better. Clearly articulate your product descriptions and what is it that you’re selling? How is it made, highlight the stories, the history behind the product, turn the features into benefits, and use both logical copy and emotional.Number two, use persuasive copy and words. It’s all about copywriting. If you can convince people to convert, you’re going to be better off. It’s all about conversion optimization. There’s a lot of cool companies that do conversion optimization out there. One I love is a company called Spiralyze based in Atlanta, I believe, they’re Atlanta, Georgia, somewhere around there. But they do performance-based conversion optimization where if they improve your conversions with copywriting, they charge you, if they don’t, you don’t pay a dollar. Number three, optimize your call to actions. It’s so funny, I see people testing their add to cart buttons, and you should, but a lot of times they use these really rare terms and I know it’s really hurting their conversions because we’ve run so many add to cart tests.Four, answer all the FAQ’s you can. Nearly 95% of customers turn to reviews when shopping online and swear that reviews are the most important factor that influences their purchasing decisions. Alleviate customer concerns that your product page copy doesn’t address directly. And that’s what the reviews will do. Earn their trust by demonstrating the product benefits and real-life use cases and saving time on repetitive FAQ’s for customer support.Five, increase sales by using scarcity and urgency. Amazon does this in great ways. Hey, there are only five left. And they don’t cheat, they don’t lie, they show you how many are really left. Or order this today and you can get it tomorrow. I’m like, all right, I’ll order this now. And it’s not just today. Order it within the next 40 minutes and you can get it tomorrow. Implying urgency in your headlines really helps these conversions and implying urgency in your call to action also helps. Adding stock urgency, just by default, like for Black Friday or during specific holiday season with a countdown clock, works super well.Number six, use cart abandonment email marketing sequences. Be specific, and be true to your brand. You want to be personal in your email. And by offering an incentive as well, you’ll find that you’ll get less abandonment to your email sequence and include customer reviews and testimonials like I just mentioned, that really does help boost conversion. Seven, multi-variant testing. There’s many elements you should test, right? So on your product detail pages, I want you to run tons and tons of A/B tests. And the more tests that you run, the better off you are and think about images, product descriptions, from what people prefer, what products they don’t like to the reviews, the placement of it, also keywords, keywords in headlines, keywords lower. You also want to test the keywords that you’re even bidding on and the keywords in your copy. You want to track signups, clicks, or any other conversion goals. You want to optimize your supply chains, your margins, and run tests there too. It’s not just on your own website. All these things help your business become more efficient as well. EVERYTHING You’ve Been Taught About Content Promotion is WRONG [Video]

You’re promoting your content the wrong way and today we’re going to fix that. Today, I’m going to break down everything that you’ve taught about content marketing promotion is wrong.Question for you: how much time do you spend promoting your content every time you write a blog post? Let me know, is it five minutes? 30 Minutes? One hour? Two hours? 10 hours? Let me know in the comments below, I’m curious.RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________A New Way To Build Links (And Spend Less Time Finding Opportunities): https://youtu.be/KwCjzeXcWpEHow to Find Lucrative Link-Building Opportunities in Under 60 Seconds: https://youtu.be/MFLXnMh-BHoUbersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/____________________________________________Look, not every content piece is worth promoting, no matter how much cold outreach you do, if your intent is self-servicing, you’re not going to get any of the free or paid promotions working well for you. I want you to focus on helping other creators’ audiences. You want to focus on their audience’s pain points, their needs, their wants, and you want to solve the problem in a way that no one else did. You want to turn a written piece of content into a data visualization piece. You want to turn a written content piece into a video. You have to figure out how to make it beneficial to the other audience. So for example, if you write more detailed content than your competition and someone’s linking to them, and there are articles on ‘how to get more Facebook to reach in 2021’ and they’re linked to it, they’re like, “Hey, this is how you’re going to improve your Facebook reach.” Well, if 2022s coming up and their algorithms change or 2023s coming up, or 2024s coming up and their algorithm change, then you can talk about their updated algorithms and each one, same with Google, and you can be like, “Look, here’s what’s working these days. Here’s the type of content pieces that are working. Here’s what’s not. Here’s the overview synopsis. Here’s even a video that gives you an overview.” And sending that to people who are linking to your competition, they’re more likely to link to you because that benefits their reader base and gives them the latest and greatest. Also, I don’t want you to use cold outreach templates. They just don’t work. Use your own voice, understand what works in your templates and adjust to your own personality, your own voice, et cetera. Promoting your own brand can be more powerful than also promoting your own content. So here’s an example of that. You’re probably like, “Neil, what are you talking about? Promoting your own brand versus your content?” Seeing content marketing, everyone’s like, “Oh, you got to promote your content.” Well, a lot of times I did self-like, I did a ‘who is Neil Patel campaign’. There was a ton of people who are popular all over the world on social media and they promoted my name. And just posting your content on social media these days, isn’t enough. You need to tease people and try to gauge their pain points. You need to lead with a teaser piece when you’re trying to post on social media and have that call to action so then that way people want to go to your website. So for example, when I post on social media, I’ll start with the hook, such as, “the way you’re promoting content is all wrong. Do you want to know how to do it the new way? Well, here’s the latest and greatest.” You see how I use the hook that causes people from social to be more likely to go to your website. And by telling people that, or even telling them to check out in-depth pieces on your website from your social channels, that can help a little bit, but it doesn’t work as well as that hook that I just mentioned. And you don’t want to waste time trying to get the wrong brands to promote your content. If there’s an audience mismatch, you’re going to be wasting time. You don’t want to focus only on the big brands, go after smaller brands that are in your space. Even niche people don’t have a big audience. Something’s better than nothing. You want to focus on external content promotion opportunities that make sense, that allow you to build your own community, that allow you to nurture your community with content that only they have access to. For example, I may do a partnership with Entrepreneur, do a webinar, tell people about all the latest and greatest on my site, have a landing page for them, tell them about it, collect their email address so that way I can foster, nurture my own community. 4 eCommerce SEO Techniques for Beginners (Ranking Your Products and Getting FREE Google Traffic) [Video]

Do you want to learn how to drive a thousand E-commerce sales from SEO without being a SEO expert? Well, today I’m going to teach you how. Today I’m going to break down four E-commerce SEO techniques for beginners.RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________Google Merchant: https://www.google.com/retail/solutions/merchant-center/Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/____________________________________________Now I have a question for you, I want you to leave a comment below so that way I know how to better help you out. How many sales are you getting per month from your E-commerce store? If it’s zero, that’s okay. I know I need to help you a little bit more to then. If it’s a hundred or a thousand, let me know whatever the number is below on a monthly basis what you’re getting in sales, and I’ll make sure I’ll help you out whenever you need it.So step one, Google Merchant. It gives you free exposure, free organic traffic in the Google Shopping tab. There’s integrations with a lot of E-commerce platforms that can help you generate your shopping feed automatically and even submit it for you automatically to Google Merchant.Step two, Product Page SEO. Don’t focus on search volume in your keyword research process focus on keywords with transactional intent. Just keep this in mind. And if you’re struggling to find these transactional keywords, you can type in head terms like laptop, those one or two word keyword phrases within a Ubersuggest.com, and when you type it in, it’ll give you a whole laundry list of ideas in the keyword ideas report. So when you’re on Ubersuggest, once you type in your keyword in the left-hand navigation you’ll see keyword ideas, you click on it and you’ll see all the recommendations related to laptops. And there’s even questions there, preposition, comparison keywords. A lot of these will be transactional-based keywords that aren’t that competitive don’t drive as much volume, but they’ll definitely drive your revenue. You also get to keep in mind your title meta description. You want to include the brand of the pack there. You want to include the name of the product there and include the model number as well or anything else that differentiates your product or makes it unique and helps us stand out from competitors who may be selling similar products. And of course you want to add structured data, add FAQ content, so that way people know, Hey, here’s the FAQ’s but Google can also pull that in. You want to share real testimonials not fake ones, real ones, the more detailed with images, even better. And you also want to write unique product descriptions optimized for both SEO and Conversions. And this one’s a big mistake that I see people making because when they’re writing product descriptions, a lot of times they’re selling the same product that other people have to offer.Step three, minimize your load time and maximize your site speed. We talked about this a little bit, but just think about it.You can use a Google page speed insights, putting your URL, or heck you can even go into Ubersuggest, put your URL, check out the site audit report. And in that site audit report, it pulls a lot of stuff from Google’s core vitals updates and ensures that your website is doing all the things that you need to do from an on-page perspective, as well as a site speed perspective. So you can do well from both mobile devices and desktop devices and even tablet devices.Step four, create relevant URL structures. A lot of people in E-commerce for some reason, they put numbers in the URL. I don’t know why I’m not some model number or the pack has a number in there. You should avoid that. You want to include keywords that are relevant to your product because that’s how you’re going to get the most traffic in the long run.And keep in mind, you don’t want your URLs too long. When your URLs are really really long, Google thinks that when someone types in a really, really long query, your URL should rank, but then when someone types in one or two words that are part of your URL, but not everything in there, what you’ll find is as harder for you to rank, even when your webpage is a perfect fit for that keyword query that someone just typed in.So when in doubt, try to keep your URLs more shorter than longer. Now, if you need help with your E-commerce SEO, check out our add agency, NP digital. Well funny enough, over 40% of our clients are in the E-commerce space and we love helping them grow their traffic, as well as through SEO, paid ads and content and all the other services out there that you may need. The ONLY Features You Need to Use in SEO Tools [Video]

Are you getting overwhelmed with your SEO reports and all the tools? There are so many out there. Well, don’t worry. You’re not alone. Today, I’m going to break down the only features you need to use in SEO tools.Don’t get bogged down by reports and features and tools. That do very little to actually get you more rankings. I’m going to break down four main features and reports that you need to rank higher. And here’s best of all, you can do pretty much all of this in Ubersuggest. RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/____________________________________________You can find it in neilpatel.com/ubersuggest, or just go to ubersuggest.com. And you can do literally most of this stuff for free in Ubersuggest. That’s what’s great. So in that sense, we’ll go down the four main features you need to use and how you can do it for free. So, let’s dive right in. Number one, Rank Tracking, Look, on Google, if you don’t know what your rankings are, if they’re going up or if they’re going down, or how things are improving or declining, how are you going to improve? Those things are really important, right? Be here’s the thing with SEO, it’s a long game. And Rank Tracking shows you that, and it can track your rankings on a daily basis and a weekly basis, whatever you prefer. And you can even track your rankings on mobile devices and desktop. You can do the all in Ubersuggest for free. And what’s cool about that is that way you can see how you’re performing on different device types. And it tells you when you’re doing SEO, what’s working and what isn’t. The second thing that you need to look at with these SEO tools is Competitive Analysis. Competitive Analysis tells you what your competitors are doing and what’s working for them. Look, you don’t want to recreate the wheel. You want to do what’s working for others, and just do it better. Why start from scratch? And what’s cool is, you can see the keywords by clicking on the Keywords button and you’ll see all the keywords that that page ranked for. And that’ll tell you, hey, should I also create a page that’s very similar. Well, if I do, now I know what keywords to go after because it’s related to my business and it can also drive me sales. And another cool feature is you can also see all the backlinks that are driven to that page. All the other sites that are link into your competitor’s page. Because here’s the thing, if someone wants to link to your competitor, they’re probably willing to link to you too. So now, you got a list of links going to your competitors. So, you can create a better page than that’s more thorough, go after all their keywords, and you can also hit up all the people linking to them and ask them to link to you too. The other cool thing that I like about the Competitive Analysis report on Ubersuggest, you can see how much traffic your competitors getting. If they’re getting more traffic month over month or less traffic month over month, because Google is doing so many updates. The third report that you need to look at and feature within these SEO tools is Keyword Ideas. Now, the Keyword Ideas report in Ubersuggest gives you all these ideas that you can go after. So, you want to go after popular keywords. And what’s cool about the Ubersuggest Keyword Ideas report, you can actually filter it by some any region, such as United States or Canada, or UK, or India, or Brazil, or even South Korea. And within the Keyword Ideas report in Ubersuggest, there’s also a Content Ideas report. What that’ll show you all the content that you can write about that are related to those keywords. So, you can see what’s popular on Facebook, what’s popular on Pinterest, what’s popular from the backlinks perspective, and what’s even popular from an organic SEO perspective. The last factor, and this is number four, is Backlinks. If you don’t get people linking to you, you’re not going to do well. Backlinks are like votes. So, you want to get ideally bigger sites linking to you and more relevant sites. And you can use the Backlinks report within Ubersuggest. And what’s cool is they have a Backlink Opportunity report more specifically, where you can put in your URL and then your competitor URLs. And it’ll show you all the people that linked to your competitors, but don’t link to you. Because if someone links to not just one but two, three, four of your competitors and they don’t link to you, the chances are they don’t mind linking to other people in your space because they’re already linked to lots of your competitors. Advice Every Online Business Owner Should’ve Heard Before Starting SEO [Video]

SEO’s great, but before you really invest a lot into it, there’s something you should know. Today I’m going to break up advice every online business owner should hear before starting SEO. Look, SEO’s long-term. You need other traffic sources to make money before you succeed with SEO. RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________CodeCanyon: https://codecanyon.net/Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/____________________________________________Now, let’s go over what you need to generate sales now, which will make you cash so you can then take that cash and invest in SEO. It doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t start doing SEO right now because in the future, is one of the highest ROI marketing channels out there. But still you need to start doing stuff right now to generate those sales because you can’t wait six months, or a year, or two years depending on the keywords you’re going after to really get the results. First, you need to learn how to convert visitors into buyers. If you can’t convert visitors into buyers, then it doesn’t matter how much traffic you get. And if you can’t get your conversion rate high enough, the economics won’t work out, especially with paid advertising because the costs are continually rising, especially after COVID. You don’t really need a billion dollars for engineering when you’re a startup, but you do need it to scale your sales and marketing. And you need to have a conversion funnel with upsells and downsells. That’s how you get the most out of your revenue. The upsells and downsells, the key with that is speed and automation. And as long as you’re producing results, people gladly take you off those upsells and downsells. Second thing that you need to know. Search engines give older websites more authority and more placement. Now there’s no guarantee that if you’re older website, you have more authority in your website because you could be a brand new hot website that every wants a link to it talk about, but that’s usually not the case. Typically the older sites have much more authority. And no matter how much money you have, you can’t easily buy that age. You just have to be patient. And that’s the thing with SEO. It is super effective. The ROI is massive and that’s why we have one of the fastest 500 growing companies according to “E Magazine”, because SEO works for customers and our results are proven.Third don’t take short-term gains for long-term losses. So doing what’s best for your customers wins in the long run. Fourth, create a better mouse trap, as marketing is becoming too expensive. Look, I’m a marketer and I’m telling you, it’s just going to keep going up and up. So you’ve got to figure out a better mouse trap. And you can do some things that are very similar to sites like CodeCanyon that can help you put tools on your website, which can help you get traffic and you’d give away stuff for free, and you can buy some of these tools for 10, 20, 30, $40. They’re not going to be as good as what Zillow did or what I did, but it’s a start. And then over time you can invest more money to making it better. The Most Effective Ways to Market Your Business With No Budget [Video]

Who says you need money to get traffic to your website? Today, I’m going to break down the most effective ways to market your business with no budget. I’m going to break down some of the easiest ways to get traffic when you have no money.RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________Canva: https://www.canva.com/Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/____________________________________________The first strategy, SEO. What I want you to do is just start off by writing content and sharing it on the social web. If you don’t know what content to write, what I want you to do is go to Ubersuggest, type in any keywords related to your industry, click on the content ideas report in the left-hand navigation and it’ll show you all the articles that are popular based on social shares and it will show you based on backlinks. Once you write your content, because this is, you know, you’re basing off other popular piece of content, that’ll give you the idea. And then what I want you to do once yours is out, hit up all the people that share the other articles or link to it, Ubersuggest provides a lot of this data, reach out to them and ask them to share your content. Second strategy, Google My Business. It’s one of the easiest ways for local businesses to get more traffic and higher rankings. So, make sure you submit yourself to Google My Business. Another strategy that I love is PR, and you’re probably wondering, hey Neil, I don’t have the budgets to go hire a big PR firm. How do I get all this free PR? Well, the way you get this free PR is a site called HARO, Help A Reporter Out. What HARO does is, it’s a community of reporters that are saying, hey, I have questions around all these topics, is there anyone who can help me answer them? And if you answer them, what it’ll do is, they’ll be like, oh, thank you. And they’ll include you in the article and that gets you publicity, which can get you traffic and sales. Another strategy that I love is public speaking. Even though it doesn’t drive that many sales, you’re building a relationship with other people. And if I’m giving a speech in front of an audience, those people are super qualified, when I tell them about my website, they go to it and it can generate some sales. Another strategy that I love is guest posting and cold outreach. What I mean by this is, if you can go and guest post on popular sites that have your audience already, you can generate sales. Another strategy that I love is Facebook groups. There’s so many groups, there’s groups on literally everything. So I want you to participate. And then, whenever you have a product or service that’s related, then you can mention it, but make sure you’re participating first and giving more than asking. Next, I want you to leverage email marketing. There’s a saying that goes in the marketing industry, the money’s in the list, it’s your digital ATM machine. So, collect emails. Educate 80% of the time when you’re sending out emails, and promote and sell your products 10 to 20% of the time. Another strategy, video marketing. Any time you create video, upload it to YouTube, Instagram TV, Instagram Reels, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter, the possibilities are endless. Because you already have followers and friends on all these social sites, uploading content, video content, just does well. Then you have infographics. If you go back to the content ideas report within Ubersuggest, so you go to Ubersuggest.com and then put in a keyword related to your industry, you go to the content ideas report in the left-hand navigation. You’ll see a list of all the popular articles within your industry. You can then go create infographics based on some of those topics and you can use tools like Canva to help you create those for free, and then reach out to all the people that link to that article, which shows you in the content ideas report, right?Another strategy that I love using is applying for a business award. It doesn’t give you as many visitors as you would like, but it gives you that credibility, which helps improve your conversion rate. And it does improve word of mouth marketing as well. And then, I recommend partnerships with other brands. It’s all great ways to increase your sales. Now, if you need help with your marketing or more ideas, check out my ad agency, NP Digital, where we help companies succeed online. If you have any questions, leave a comment below. When You Have Thousands of Website Visitors but Can’t Sell More Than $100/Month [Video]

There are nine reasons why you typically can’t sell anything to your website visitors. Today I’m going to break down when you have thousands of website visitors, but you can’t sell more than $100 a month to your audience. RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________A Step-by-Step SEO Strategy For Beginners | Getting Traffic With Old and New Websites: https://youtu.be/Eh6nlUyqP4MThe Quickest Way to Create Popular Web Pages (And Get Tons of Traffic): https://youtu.be/fOGF1Sq499gUbersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/Click Funnels: https://www.clickfunnels.com/Crazy Egg: https://www.crazyegg.com/____________________________________________The first reason is poor keyword targeting. Look, not targeting your ideal buyers is useless, it doesn’t matter how much traffic you have. It’s not just about getting traffic, it’s about intent. So what I want you to do is go to Ubersuggest, type in a keyword related to your space, and then on the left side, go to the keyword ideas report. The keyword ideas report shows you all the keywords within your industry. And this is giving you lot and lot of ideas. I want you to look for the keywords that have high traffic volumes and a high CPC. CPC stands for cost per click. The second reason is no sales funnel. Look, sales is like dating. But if you have a sales funnel, you can actually start converting people better because you’re taking them through the stages they need to go to in order to convert them. Check out our product called Click Funnels, it helps you create funnels really quickly, and they have templated funnels, depending on what industry you’re in they’ll automatically convert well. The third reason, no sales process. Ton of money is in sales. Just look at the company sales force, they’re massive. Why are they massive? Because they’re sales. So build out a sales team, there’s a lot of books that can help you that with sales such as “Winning by Design,” or “The Little Red Book to Selling” I believe it’s called, check that one out as well. And they’ll just help you get better at sales, and that can help you generate more revenue as well. The fourth reason your product or service isn’t a winner. One way is you just be in business long enough. But to be in business long enough, you need to a good product or service. If you have amazing product or service, that’s what’s going to create the growth in the word of mouth. Fifth reason, mismatch between your traffic and the product and service that you’re offering. For example, back in the day I used to go after a lot of keywords related to Instagram marketing, because there’s so much traffic related to it. So just how to get more followers or how to make money on Instagram, because I’m like, hey, you know, people who pay me for marketing they all use Instagram so I should educate them on Instagram marketing. But even though that is marketing, there’s a mismatch. Number six, you don’t have enough authority or credibility yet to endorse your product or service. I’m like, look, if I can rank my own website against other marketers in the most competitive industry, I can rank your website, and that really does help. You got to get that credibility, and at the beginning, it takes a while to really build it up but in the long run you’ll get there. Number seven, fine-tune your checkout process. A big thing in checkout process, I learned two big things that really do help. The first thing is what the checkout process is, number one, it’s all about two step checkout. The second thing that I found with checkout is, people want those options for payment.Eight, split test your product pages and see what’s working best with your audience. It’s all about conversion optimization. Just because you have a hundred visitors, you may not get one to buy from you or two or three. And if you’re not, in many cases there will be something wrong especially getting thousands of visitors. And nine, work on your call to action buttons. So again, it’s all about your CTAs and you can test that as well within Crazy Egg. Whether that’s add to cart, add to checkout, start your free trial, some of these bonds have a huge impact on sales and it may not be 20, 30%, but even if it’s a few conversion points it all really does add up. What Would Neil Patel Do If He Owned Your Website (And You Should Start Doing Too) [Video]

If I owned your business, I would do things differently. Hey, everyone, I’m Neil Patel, and today I’m going to break down what Neil Patel would do if he owned your business or website. Look, there’s six questions I would ask if I owned your business. These questions will open up new opportunities and make you grow your traffic and sales. So let’s dive right in. RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________A Step-by-Step SEO Strategy For Beginners | Getting Traffic With Old and New Websites: https://youtu.be/Eh6nlUyqP4MThe Easiest Way to Get More SEO Traffic: https://youtu.be/IHl9xb9VmJwUbersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/____________________________________________Question number one, do you have a winning product or service? And here’s what I mean by this, no matter how good of a marketer you are or a business owner you are, if your product or service isn’t amazing, you’re not going to do well in the long run. And one way that you can see if you’re going in the right direction is by doing a NPS survey. So NPS stands for Net Promoter Score. It pretty much tells you how good you’re doing. The higher the number, the better. And what I would do is, as you’re doing this NPS, keep getting feedback. So if you have low scores and people aren’t satisfied with your product or service, ask them why, ask them what you can improve. Because, if overall in the long run, if you continue to improve your product and service and iterate it, you won’t have the best score right away from day one. But over time, as you improve it, what you’ll find is you will get way more word-of-mouth sales. The second question that I would ask is do you have a proven sales process in place? Look, I don’t care how good someone is at marketing, sales really does win at the end of the day. Even if your product is better or you’re first to market, if you suck at sales, you’re not spending enough time in that, you’re not going to do as well. The third question that I would ask is have you built a marketing funnel? Look, in marketing, costs have continually gone up. Marketing is no longer affordable. It keeps going higher and higher over time, and that’s not really going to change. But how do you make the numbers work with marketing continually going up in expenses? Whether it’s paid ads or SEO, you still got to pay for people, time, sometimes you have to pay for the ads spots, but marketing is going up. Well, the way you counteract this is by improving your conversion rate, and that’s things like testing your button color, or copy or images, and you should be doing that. The fourth question is, do you collect leads? I don’t care if you’re B2B, B2C, e-commerce, service, you need to collect leads. What I mean by a lead is at least collect the email address. If I have an e-commerce site, when someone leaves, I may offer them a coupon code, offer a discount if they put an email address.Fifth question is, is your website minimally optimized from a on-page perspective? Because, if you haven’t really optimized everything you need to fix that. So what I would do is head over to Ubersuggest and put in your URL. Once you put in your URL in the left-hand navigation, go to the Site Audit report. The site audit report will break everything down from the SEO standpoint and then they’ll show you your errors. It’ll show you even things like Google Core Vitals information, like load time, how well you’re doing, what you need to end up fixing. The sixth questions that you need to ask yourself before you’re getting organic traffic, what’s your traffic strategy to getting sales? The best approach is typically going to be the outbound sales, paid advertising, partnerships, affiliates. All those kinds of things work extremely well. So let’s say there’s these e-commerce development shops that are redoing people’s Shopify site or big commerce site. We’ll work with these dev shops because they’re like, hey, these guys have this traffic, they have this big e-commerce store. They need people to drive more traffic and fine tune it. So then we’ll partner up with these dev shops, And then, on the flip side, we may have customers that we’re driving a lot of traffic to. These e-commerce sites are getting bigger, and we’re just like, hey, your site’s a mess. You need to clean up your code. We recommend talking to that dev shop over there. So it’s a win-win situation. And if you follow those tactics that I just broke down in this video, or you just ask yourself these questions, you’ll find more opportunities for you to grow. Social Media Marketing Tips For Every Brand (And What You Should Avoid at All Costs) [Video]

Everyone wants to post about stuff and link to their own website or link to somewhere else that’s not on Facebook. Facebook hates that because if you link to another site, that means that person is going off of Facebook and the chance of them coming back and clicking on an ad are slim to none. RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________Simple Social Media Patterns You Need To Know to Grow Your Reach, Followers, and Engagement: https://youtu.be/SiPvYXsiA_sSocial Media Strategies To Boost Your SEO: https://youtu.be/UlmlzJTBL8MUbersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/____________________________________________So from a personal brand perspective, a lot of times people usually feel comfortable with one platform. I call it repurposing content. They make their content for one platform like Instagram, and then just repurpose it on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, et cetera. What are some ways that people can build their personal brand outside of social media, whether it’s podcasts or email newsletters, like what are the other things that people could be doing? So outside of social media, some of the things you can do to build your brand and your platform is you need to get out there on your own website. See social media has algorithms. I know LinkedIn and TikTok are great right now, and you can go viral, but that’s not going to last forever. You controlling your own destiny is super important. So everyone should have their own website and just create a blog. You can do it with WordPress, takes literally a few minutes, a click of button with most hosting platforms, get your domain name and just start creating content, whether that’s articles, videos.Start sending out text messages every time you have a phone number. When you do these types of things, you’ll start building up your brand over time. And it’s called the rule of seven. When someone sees or interacts with your brand seven times, they’re much more likely to evangelize you, buy from you, increase your word of mouth awareness by telling their friends about you. So all you really need to do is just create your own website and then leverage the social platforms while they’re driving traffic and then push that traffic to your website. So that way you can control that audience and not be relying on those social platforms.I know some people are very passionate about certain subjects. I tend to avoid them because what happens is you start polarizing, in which some people will do business with you and some people won’t.But the one thing I will tell you is if you start talking about these sensitive topics, like religion, politics, there’s a good chance you can be a little bit off putting to a certain audience and you could potentially lose business. So you roll the dice with that and that’s why I don’t talk about any of that stuff online. So what about the blogs, forums, Reddit, those types of platforms. Should be, people become experts inside of like, embed themselves in the internet in that fashion? You can, if your business is growing, and you’re doing millions and millions of dollars and you have multiple people in your marketing department, I highly recommend it. If you’re running a small marketing team with one or two, three people, I wouldn’t recommend it.So I would recommend actually going for those smaller sites first, and then eventually if you have extra time go after the “Inc.s” the “Huffington Post”. what you’ll find is it gives you A, brand awareness. The second thing is it adds credibility. The third thing is, is it also drives business. The first thing people need to realize about Facebook is they make money by people clicking on ads. It’s that simple. Facebook hates that because if you link to another site, that means that person is going off of Facebook and the chance of them coming back and clicking on an ad are slim to none. They want more videos to compete with YouTube. They want more live content to compete with the television stations. So Instagram has quite a few different things. And the one thing I would recommend is if you’re trying to post Stories also consider going live, because if you go live and you do interviews, like Dan has a lot of followers, I have some followers, probably not nowhere near as many as him. Simple Social Media Patterns You Need To Know to Grow Your Reach, Followers, and Engagement [Video]

When you publish a video on YouTube, make sure you share it with your friends, tell them to leave a comment, do email blast, push notification blast, text message it out, whatever you can to get those views in the first hour. Because when you do that, you’re much more likely to rank higher on YouTube. RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________Social Media Strategies To Boost Your SEO: https://youtu.be/UlmlzJTBL8M7 Marketing Trends to Help you DOMINATE Social Media in 2021: https://youtu.be/10IuyBkrB7oUbersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/____________________________________________In general, most people don’t realize this, but Google makes eight to nine algorithm changes per day on average, most of them are very small. And that’s a lot to keep up with. But it’s that age-old marketing technique that continually drives revenue that a lot of us take for granted. And if you want to do really well in 2021, and in the future even beyond that, there’s a few things that I would recommend doing. The first is you need more people to link to you. And everyone knows link building. Link building is one website linking to another’s and they say the more links you have, the higher you rank in Google. But we’ve noticed a shift in their algorithm in which you don’t need a ton of links these days. And then the next thing that no one’s really focusing on, and this one is big, is Page Experience. So, they have this algorithm update coming out in 2021 called Page Experience. And they’re first rolling it out with mobile. It’s unknown if they’ll roll it out to desktop, but I bet they eventually will. So, they’re starting to look at the experience, are users actually looking at the content, going to multiple pages? Or are they just clicking the back button and going to the next result because they’re not finding what they’re looking for. So don’t just optimize for a quote, unquote algorithm. If you optimize for the user experience, in the long run, you’ll rank better. And the last tip that I’ll give you, so when you think about the social web, there’s a pattern. There’s Facebooks, the YouTubes, the LinkedIns, and the list goes on and on. The biggest player out there in the social space is Facebook, which also owns Instagram. And there’s this pattern that happens on most social networks. They’re very generous, they get you a ton of organic reach and the moment they have a ton of users, they’re like, hmm, it’s time for us to make more money. We want you to spend more on ads, or we’re going to crush your reach. Now there’s three social networks where it’s really easy to get reach from. One is LinkedIn, one is TikTok, and the other is YouTube. So these three networks, although I don’t really spend much on TikTok because it’s more B2C, but LinkedIn and YouTube, I’m very heavy on. And with LinkedIn, we’re just posting content all the time because if you think about it, it’s the underdog. So, if you just create content on there, you’re going to get love. The last step that I looked up and I don’t know how accurate it is now, but it was a few months ago. I was finding an article that was saying something like roughly only 3% of users on LinkedIn are creating content, only 3%. So they’re like starving for this content, they just want more, so they’ll say, if you want to be part of that 3% and you want to give us content, we’ll just show it to a lot of people because we’re the underdog. Instagram and Facebook, you know, all the other platforms, they don’t have that issue where a very, very small percentage is only creating content. So, just go out there and put anything on there and you’ll do well. I know that sounds bad, but it’s the reality.
