They’re a waste of time because they’re the wrong focus in the wrong order! Colors and a logo do not a business make – even if you set up your business entity you don’t have a business until you start making sales. So, Deirdre’s going to explain how to do that.Point #2: Profit Before Prep! I’m going to share with you what I have learned about building a business that is PROFITABLE. So, here’s the truth:You’ll waste time and money setting all these things up initially if you have not yet VALIDATED your business idea, plan, and have a proven business strategy for sales and marketing.You can start your business without any of the “legal and financial” items listed above. Yes, you will need to do those things once you are ESTABLISHED and MAKING MONEY but until you get to that point, you can simply use what you already have – your name, your social security number, your bank account as you start up.Your first order of business is to get the business to pay for itself as soon as possible. So, how do you do that when you are starting out? It’s through Values and validation. We teach a process known as the “inside-out” approach. Most people look outside of themselves for a “business idea” that seems to be working for others. However, that may not fit you or feel aligned with your values and business personality. By starting with values, you have the opportunity to find that which lights you up and will be sustainable and profitable. Validation includes 4 key steps:1.
