You probably all know the world-famous companies “Nike” and “Apple”. Both companies have opened their branches in many countries of the world and gained millions of customers. “Nike” and “Apple” companies came together in 2016 and presented their jointly produced product, “Apple Watch Nike+” watches to customers. The difference between these watches was that they combined the features of the “Nike” sports brand and “Apple” smart watches. The main goal of producing these watches was to create an opportunity for athletes and generally anyone who wants to live a healthy lifestyle. So, through smart watches, people receive timely notifications to drink enough water, run, and exercise. In short, these smart watches prepare a healthy life routine for people and play the role of a kind of guide on this path. And thus, as a result of the collaboration between Nike and Apple, these watches presented to viewers have been considered by customers as an effective device for a healthy lifestyle. In this example, the marketing strategy used to create an intercompany partnership is called “Co-branding”. Now the question arises, what exactly is the “Co-branding” marketing strategy? What are the reasons why world famous brands choose this strategy? Let’s look at the answers to these questions together. “Co-branding” is a marketing method that has become widespread all over the world recently, especially after 2010. This strategy is also known as “strategic business partnership”. Thus, the main goal of the “Co-branding” business tactic is that two or more companies come together and create a partnership. As a result, those companies appear in front of the audience either with a product they jointly produce or with a new campaign they create together. As an example, let’s look at the partnership of two companies. In 2012, a cooperation agreement was signed between the famous Taco Bell fast food company and the Doritos chips company. The product developed under that agreement combined the delicious flavors of Doritos and Taco Bell products. Thus, this product, created as a result of the Co-branding strategy, sold more than one billion in one year. I would like to add that as a result of the Co-branding strategy, both companies not only get a lot of income from the joint product, but also manage to increase their profits separately. Today, there are two main types of Co-branding strategy. The first of these is “Ingredient Co-branding”, and the second is called “Composite co-branding”. One of the companies that created a partnership in the strategy of “Ingredient Co-branding” is well-known, but the other one is relatively less well-known. That is, the main purpose of the partnership here is to promote the second, less well-known company and advertise its products to buyers. For example, let’s look at the partnership between the famous and well-funded computer company Dell and the technology company Intel. While the computer company “Dell” is world famous, the technology company “Intel” is considered a relatively little-known and emerging business example. The main goal of the partnership between “Intel” and “Dell” is to introduce Intel’s services and products to a wider audience and to create a reliable image for “Intel” among buyers. As a result, as a result of its partnership with Dell, the little-known and unpopular Intel company increased its sales several times and gained the trust of customers. As for the second type of co-branding, i.e. “composite co-branding”, unlike the first type, both companies that create a partnership here are equally popular. In other words, the main goal here is to increase the product sales of both companies at the same level.For example, the partnership between the well-known taxi company “Uber” and the popular music application “Spotify” can be an example of “composite co-branding”. According to this partnership, you can access the Spotify application and listen to the songs you want for free while using Uber taxis. Especially for people who like to listen to music while traveling, this opportunity is considered unavoidable. Why Social Media Marketing Doesn’t Work (For Most People) [Video]

Why social media marketing doesn’t work for most people? It doesn’t matter if it is Facebook, or Instagram, or LinkedIn, or even Twitter. Social media marketing just doesn’t work, or at least for most people. And no, it’s not because you don’t have enough followers, instead, it doesn’t work because you only focus on getting more followers. See, that’s the issue. Let’s say you want a million followers. If you want lots of followers, you have to create content that appeals to the masses. I own a digital marketing agency called NP Digital. And I can start to create more generic content, and my follower account will rise faster, which is funny because that’s what my social media team keeps telling me to do. But I don’t. Why? Because yes, it’ll get us more followers faster, but every time we do that, you can guess how many more clients we get or even leads? It gets us a whopping zero extra leads clients and revenue. And I’ve tested this out hundreds of times, literally. So my most popular content pieces I’ve created have been around lifestyle marketing, such as spending money on fancy clothes or what I learned from flying first class on over a hundred trips. And I’m not saying you should fly first class. There’s nothing wrong with economy. It creates buzz, but it doesn’t convince our ideal customers to work with us. On the flip side, if I give SEO tips or marketing tips, do you know what happens? I get way less views. I get way less likes on my content. But people who watch my content are interested in SEO, and a portion of those people eventually convert into leads and some even in customers. In other words, yes, you need followers to make social media marketing work for you, and of course, you need great content, but the big mistake that people make, it’s that they create content that focuses on the masses so they can boost this vanity metric AKA follower account, instead of focusing on creating content that targets their ideal customer. So with your social media marketing, focus on your ideal customer and not on everyone. That’s how you make it work. People love measuring marketing. Everyone loves Google Analytics. Everyone loves Google Data Studio. If you spend a dollar, you want to make more than a dollar, right? It all starts with the rule of seven. When someone sees or interacts with your brand seven times, they’re much more likely to evangelize it. So I’m going to give you some tips that’ll help you with the rule of seven. The first is, leverage all the major social networks out there. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, the list goes on and on. Whenever you’re posting content on one, you can post on another. You are probably watching this video on either YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, or TikTok. Can you guess what’s familiar with this video? It’s the same video pretty much on all the channels.On the flip side, if you don’t do that, you’re not going to get as many eyeballs. Now, another channel that you can end up using to help with that rule of seven is email marketing. When someone goes to your website, collect that email. I have another video that I talk about here, email list is that ATM, that digital ATM. Every time you send out an email, you can make money. So collect those emails. It is true, it’s one of the best marketing channels, and it’s a great way to keep being in front of that audience so you can get there seven times. Another channel for you is SEO. Create blog content, that text-based content. By creating that text-based content, when people do searches, they’ll find you. Maybe you can also convince them to be on your email list and then get them back. And then from emailing, you can ask them to follow you on the social web. Then I would also start collecting phone numbers, follow up via text message. People open up text more than they open up email. Another channel that I love is push notifications. Through browsers, people can click a button and subscribe and then you can send them a notification. The click-through rates aren’t as great but it still helps with the rule of seven. In essence, think of most marketing channels, whether it’s paid advertising, or organic or non-paid, leverage as many as possible. Heck, you can go live on social media, you can create a podcast, it’s up to you, but the more channels you leverage, you’re going to more likely get in front of your target audience seven-plus times. Now, keep this in mind, don’t add all the channels at once. Do them slowly or else you’re going to burn yourself out. When you’re creating content for social, republish that content on most of social profiles that it works on so then that way, you’re getting the most out of your content.
