So if you look at most private equity funds, they don’t try to do, they’re companies that they buy or companies that want to do rollups, it’s hard to buy 12 companies because it’s hard to integrate and run them all correctly. That’s why funds continue to raise more money and go after bigger deals, because time is the big problem with acquiring companies. It’s easy to do one a year. Two a year is not that bad. Once you start going more than three a year, it starts getting hard. I know some companies do way more than that, but they have so many people and you knowWhat do you think about, since you’re really into the Wall Street and corporate world, you know, raising capital on social media, you know, doing it for these smaller deals is totally fine, right? But yeah, eventually, you know, to be at the big boy level, you’re raising Wall Street money. Like what do you think about transitioning there at some point?The big one that I’m seeing is people should just focus on what they’re really passionate about and what they’re good at. Because everyone tries to do, they see the pasture as greener on the other side, right? They’re like, “oh, the grass is always greener on the other side.” And that’s not always true. For example, you’re good at real estate. I’ve done well with real estate before when I was buying like bankrupt units or units from the Mandarin or people that were going bankrupt and they just need a quick flip. But that’s not what I specialize in. I’ve also lost money on real estate. Your track record in real estate is much better than mine. You’re good at it. I’m really good at creating technical software for B2B. I’m just good at it, have been doing it since I was a kid, I like it. My track record for creating a B2B enterprise company is pretty decent, right? My batting average is great. So I just stick with what I’m good at and everyone looks for new opportunities instead of just focusing on what they’re good at. Like I have a friend here who is an ex-Goldman Sachs guy, lives in Summerland, which is Vegas, right? You know that, but in case some other people don’t. And he now owns a ton of HVAC companies. He was really good at Goldman Sachs at doing financial engineering and he’s like, “huh, I was doing this for tech. I don’t want to do this for tech anymore. The returns are hard. I’m really good at operations and finance. Let me just go do this in a boring industry.” He fell in love with HVAC and roofing and plumbing, so home improvement stuff, and his name’s Devin and he’s just like, “I’m just going to buy up these companies.” Makes a killing. Like literally a killing. I’m not talking about like five, $10 million, but like he’s scaled up the organization to do a lot of revenue with only a few million dollars ff capital. ’cause some of these businesses, he’s buying ’em for like two, three x EBITDA, some seller based financing, the best rest bank, and he’s putting no money down and he’s getting these businesses for free and then he does online marketing and runs their operation better and says, “hey, instead of using paper for all your record keeping, let’s go digital and actually use software and all this.’ And he’s growing these companies by roughly 40 to 50% in the first year that he’s acquiring ’em.You already got a billion plus results for less than 200,000 people looking for a solution each month. So they’re already dealing with that. There’s going to be no difference on that end. It’s just companies are going to be like, “oh, content creation’s easier. It’s easier to create mediocre content,” right? You can use AI tools to help you create text-based content, but it’s not going to be at the same quality that you’re creating content right now. My Biggest Marketing Win [Video]

My biggest marketing win. If you had to guess, what do you think my biggest marketing win was? Leave a comment with what you think it is. I’ll give you a hint. It involved SCL Social Media, Email Marketing, and even releasing a tool for free on my website. It’s actually leveraging all channels. In essence, my biggest win is using Omnichannel Marketing. See, I saw this from being in the marketing industry for over 20 years. Overtime platforms change. And as they change, sometimes you end up on the winning end, and a lot of times you end up on the losing end. In most cases, you’ll end up on the losing end. So what do you do? You leverage all the channels for what they are. You let them drive your traffic and brand awareness, as much as possible, and as for as long as possible. But the moment their algorithm changed and it doesn’t favor you, of course try to adapt. You won’t always get the results you want and that’s okay. Just leverage them for as long as you humanly possibly can, and keep in mind, something is better than nothing. I know, that’s a cheesy answer on my biggest marketing win. I just focus on all the channels, because I knew over time, and I’ve seen it, no matter what channel you go after, the algorithms over time won’t always favor you. So you have to be prepared for that. Just look at some of the biggest companies Microsoft, Apple, IBM, Accenture, or even Airbnb. None of them generate all their sales human traffic from one channel. They all leverage as many as possible. It doesn’t matter if one channel can’t scale as well as another, or if one channel is as profitable as another channel, as long as you can get traffic and they’re profitable, you keep doing them as long as possible. Take advantage of them. Don’t nitpick. Just be happy that you found this other opportunity that will also provide you with more growth. The more you add into your marketing mix the better off you’ll be. It’s a numbers game. Remember, no one marketing channel builds a company. In today’s day and age, it’s a number game. If you’re on one or two, or even three marketing channels, that’s your focus? you’re making a big mistake and I’ve been there. And I’ve seen companies get slapped for this, but when you take that omnichannel approach you’re going to be way better off, your business is going to be much more resilient, and you’re going to continually grow over time. 20 Years Of Marketing – 7 Most Important Lessons Learned [Video]

Can you believe it? I’ve been doing marketing for 20 years. So many, I can’t even hold up my hands on how many years. And I learned some really important things that you need to know about. Today, I’m going to break down 20 Years of Marketing, The Seven Most Important Lessons I Learned.RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/____________________________________________Now you’ve been doing marketing for a while, or you’re a business owner, or you’re just getting started in a marketing. A question for you. What’s the most important lesson you learned? Leave a comment below letting me know that lesson. So let’s start off with the first lesson. Start small, but look out for scale, okay? So here’s what I mean by that. When we’re thinking about scale, typically, I start off small. When I mean small, I’m talking not 5,000, not 10,000, I usually start off less than $1,000, even at our size, and I try to see what works. It doesn’t mean I won’t ramp up the next day to 10,000 or a 100,000, but I really try to start off small to try to figure out what works. Now, if I’m paying for services or hiring an agency, it’s a little bit different because someone’s creating a plan for me, and then executing on it. But if I’m doing it myself, I try to start off small because just because a channel or a tactic work for a competitor, it doesn’t mean it works for me, so I try to start off small.The second lesson I ended up learning, my biggest skillset and my buddy, Eric, always talks about this, is I execute extremely fast. Speed is everything. So I focused on executing fast and then adapting, and A/B testing, and tweaking, to make it better over time. It’s just like a website design. Everyone’s like, “Oh, I’m going to release a new website.” We don’t do that. We just continually A/B test our websites until we come up with a perfect variation. And then you can have someone tweak the designs and make sure it works. But that’s the model we use. The third one, learn from your mistakes. In marketing, you’re going to make a lot of mistakes. When I first started out my career when I was a 16 year old kid. Keep in mind those, really young. I would be like, “Black Hat SEO, what’s this? Let’s try, oh cool, I’m ranking at top making money.” Now times are changing, I would never recommend anyone to do that. I was a foolish 16 year old kid. I wish I had a time machine. I can go back in time and tell myself, “Don’t do that again.” The next lesson, hire people who have done it before. This one, I actually didn’t learn until roughly a year ago. So the way I usually built my businesses is you build a business, you keep learning from your failures and mistakes, and then you just keep at it. And you just keep going, you execute fast, you know, and hopefully things work out. But what I learned, and this took me a long time to learn. There’s other people out there who have been where I am. There’s other people out there who have been where I want to be, which is even better.Next one, be consistent.
