HERKIMER, N.Y. — A showcase of food, beverage and agriculture manufacturers came together at Herkimer College for Vitality in the Valley.
Vitality in the Valley guest speaker Paul Guglielmo is the CEO of a small co-pack facility in Rochester that makes items like dressings, sauces and marinates.
His business is called Craft Cannery, but it started out with Guglielmo trying to sell homemade sauce.
“Putting together and starting a business like that is not easy. There was no one place that had all the answers,” he said.
In the beginning, Guglielmo struggled to get his business off the ground.
“Entrepreneurship is just constant rejection. You have to have the thickest skin and enormous tolerance for risk,” he said.
