This week marks the 11th annual celebration of Veteran Small Business Week, a national event focused on supporting veteran entrepreneurs and raising awareness of the impact of veteran-owned businesses.
For many veterans, transitioning from military service to civilian business ownership presents unique challenges. Diana Ince, a veteran business owner, said franchise support helped her navigate those challenges. “All those little things, franchise actually helped us to get everything, you know, ready,” said Ince.
However, she acknowledges that starting a business can still be difficult, especially when dealing with things like Finding the right location, Staffing the new location, and hiring contractors.
“Yes, yes, I think it’s a lot easier process. But of course, there’s, you know, some bumps and things when we open[ed], Said Ince. ” I can’t remember, but it was like nine months in the process before we can even open.”
