This is KILLING Your SEO Strategy (Here’s How to Fix It) [Video]

Your website has to provide users with a high-quality experience, or they will 100% seek out a different website. Here’s how you can optimize your UX so that you can kick your SEO strategy into high gear.00:00 Intro01:13 Tip #1 | Optimize Your Page Speed02:01 Tip #2 | Optimize Your Images02:39 Tip #3 | Make Sure Your Headlines Are Perfect03:12 Tip #4 | Simplify Your Website’s Navigation03:49 Tip #5 | Improve Your Mobile Speed ExperienceRESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________Ubersuggest: neilpatel.com/ubersuggest____________________________________________If you could avoid one SEO mistake, what would it be? Now, there are tons of big no-nos when it comes to SEO. The more obvious red flags that can actually get you penalized include things like keyword stuffing, using a ton of duplicate content, buying backlinks, and things like that. But there’s one major issue I see a ton of newbies make and it’s probably not the one you think, of because when people think of SEO, they think of keywords, backlinks, meta descriptions, and things like that. The thing I see that people look over all the time that’s killing their SEO strategy is not optimizing their UX. See, search engines don’t just evaluate webpages based on the keywords you use or how many backlinks you have. Tip number one, optimize your page speed. 88.5% of visitors leave a website because of slow load time. Just imagine, you pick up your phone, you go to do a Google search, you click on a result, one second, two seconds, three seconds, still not loaded, four seconds, five seconds, six seconds, halfway loaded, seven seconds, eight seconds, nine seconds, fully loaded. That’s a long time. You’re going to leave the site. Make sure your code is clean using a CDN, which is a content delivery network, so that way your website is on servers all over the web. Tip number two, optimize your images and content. Updating and republishing old blog posts with new content and images can increase traffic by as much as 106%. According to HTTP Archive, images make up an average of 21% of a total webpage’s weight, so make sure that you’re compressing the images, not in size, I’m talking about file size, so not in dimensions, but more so file sizes of where you want to compress ’em, and when you update your content, optimize your images, make sure that they’re images on what people are looking for, you’re going to be much better off.Tip number three, make sure your headlines are perfect. 36% of SEO experts said that the headlines were the most important SEO element. David Ogilvy always used to say, “80 cents on the dollar spent on the headline.” So you got to make sure that your headline is amazing, and there’s a lot of stats out there that show this. Eight out of 10 people read a headline, two out of 10 people read the rest of your content. So you got to really focus on the headline and make it catchy. What I like doing is running A/B tests using paid ads with different headlines to figure out what people like the most.Tip number four, simplify your website’s navigation. 84.6% of web designers believe that crowded web design is the most common mistake made by small businesses, and look, simplify your navigation, simplify what’s on a page, remove unnecessary elements, it just makes things easier for people to navigate. If you’re not sure if you’re making things simpler or worse, you can always use analytics tools like Crazy Egg which shows you where people click. You can also survey ’em, and on top of that, if you want to do a lot of user testing, check out usertesting.com which can also give you more feedback.Tip number five, improve your mobile experience. Google recently reported that 60% of searches are completed on your phone. That’s a lot. How’s your mobile experience? Is it amazing, is it bad? Majority of the people that visit your website eventually, if not already, will be from mobile devices. Look at a lot of social networks that you use, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok. Where do you find them? Mobile devices. It’s super important that you optimize your site to be responsive so that way your website can expand if someone has a big desktop computer, a laptop, an iPad, a small mobile phone, or a big mobile phone, a responsive design adapts so that way it fits all these devices. The Most Powerful Content Creation Strategy You’re Not Using [Video]

The most powerful content creation strategy you’re not using. In 1996, bill Gates wrote an essay called Content is King, and he said content is where I expect much of the real money will be made on the internet. Nearly three decades later and he could not have been more spot on. If you’re not writing, posting, promoting, or sharing valuable content, you’re actively putting your business at a disadvantage compared to your competition. But here’s the thing. While many businesses acknowledge that content creation is important, it is also one of the areas they struggle with the most. A massive 45% of marketing professionals say they struggle to create content that resonates with their audience. What should you do to take your content to the next level and resonate with your audience? RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/____________________________________________What you need to do is you need to embrace the hedgehog. Let me explain. The hedgehog marketing concept is based on an old parable about a hedgehog and a fox. The fox knows a ton and is always trying to find new ways to help with the hedgehog. But the hedgehog stays focused on one thing. Putting it in marketing terms, focus on what you know. Does your website get a million visitors every month? Probably not. So don’t focus on trying to make that happen. You are much better off focusing on meaningfully reaching a hundred people than you are trying to get through to a thousand barely. So what does this look like? Here’s how you can implant the hedgehog strategy. Step one, create a detailed buyer persona. You’re probably wondering why. Well, using marketing personas makes websites two to five times more effective and makes it easier to target the right users that they’re looking for. And when you think about marketing personas, if you just Google marketing personas templates, you’ll find a lot of templates out there that you can use just to create this, and they’re free, and you’ll see ’em all within Google Images. Step two, segment your audience. If someone purchased from you once, you could get ’em as a repeat customer. So the emails you would send to them are different than the people that come to your website the first time, opt into the email list, have never heard from you before, and have never bought anything. The same goes for people who have partly completed their checkout but haven’t fully completed it. You can send them different email campaigns than people who have completed a checkout or have not even started. Step three, focus on becoming a thought leader. When done correctly, thought leadership is a powerful tool in your arsenal. Focus on what you know and make it great. In essence, follow EAT. Google talks about EAT, it stands for expertise, authority, and trust. They want to rank websites higher that are from people who are authorities within that subject. They don’t want you to create a website that discusses everything, like Wikipedia or New York Times, because they already have enough websites like that. Step four, make your content more valuable and shareable. Delivering exceptional content to a hungry audience only helps them with their needs and encourages them to share it with others. 95.9% of bloggers promote their blogs on social and 69% of bloggers say that they use social share buttons. I use social share buttons, promote my blog posts on social media, literally the majority of the channels, and send out email blasts every time I post and push notifications. Step five, find your engine. What part of your product offering is most attractive to your audience? Stop focusing on supplementary products. This doesn’t mean to put all your eggs in one basket, but it does mean that you need to pay more attention to what’s actually driving the revenue for your brand, otherwise known as your revenue engine. Find your most profitable, well-developed, and researched product or service or idea and build on that. Sure, you can have upsells and down sales with other ancillary products and services, but you need to focus on what you’re the best at. That’s how you stand out. The ONLY Features You Need to Use in SEO Tools [Video]

Are you getting overwhelmed with your SEO reports and all the tools? There are so many out there. Well, don’t worry. You’re not alone. Today, I’m going to break down the only features you need to use in SEO tools.Don’t get bogged down by reports and features and tools. That do very little to actually get you more rankings. I’m going to break down four main features and reports that you need to rank higher. And here’s best of all, you can do pretty much all of this in Ubersuggest. RESOURCES & LINKS: ____________________________________________Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/____________________________________________You can find it in neilpatel.com/ubersuggest, or just go to ubersuggest.com. And you can do literally most of this stuff for free in Ubersuggest. That’s what’s great. So in that sense, we’ll go down the four main features you need to use and how you can do it for free. So, let’s dive right in. Number one, Rank Tracking, Look, on Google, if you don’t know what your rankings are, if they’re going up or if they’re going down, or how things are improving or declining, how are you going to improve? Those things are really important, right? Be here’s the thing with SEO, it’s a long game. And Rank Tracking shows you that, and it can track your rankings on a daily basis and a weekly basis, whatever you prefer. And you can even track your rankings on mobile devices and desktop. You can do the all in Ubersuggest for free. And what’s cool about that is that way you can see how you’re performing on different device types. And it tells you when you’re doing SEO, what’s working and what isn’t. The second thing that you need to look at with these SEO tools is Competitive Analysis. Competitive Analysis tells you what your competitors are doing and what’s working for them. Look, you don’t want to recreate the wheel. You want to do what’s working for others, and just do it better. Why start from scratch? And what’s cool is, you can see the keywords by clicking on the Keywords button and you’ll see all the keywords that that page ranked for. And that’ll tell you, hey, should I also create a page that’s very similar. Well, if I do, now I know what keywords to go after because it’s related to my business and it can also drive me sales. And another cool feature is you can also see all the backlinks that are driven to that page. All the other sites that are link into your competitor’s page. Because here’s the thing, if someone wants to link to your competitor, they’re probably willing to link to you too. So now, you got a list of links going to your competitors. So, you can create a better page than that’s more thorough, go after all their keywords, and you can also hit up all the people linking to them and ask them to link to you too. The other cool thing that I like about the Competitive Analysis report on Ubersuggest, you can see how much traffic your competitors getting. If they’re getting more traffic month over month or less traffic month over month, because Google is doing so many updates. The third report that you need to look at and feature within these SEO tools is Keyword Ideas. Now, the Keyword Ideas report in Ubersuggest gives you all these ideas that you can go after. So, you want to go after popular keywords. And what’s cool about the Ubersuggest Keyword Ideas report, you can actually filter it by some any region, such as United States or Canada, or UK, or India, or Brazil, or even South Korea. And within the Keyword Ideas report in Ubersuggest, there’s also a Content Ideas report. What that’ll show you all the content that you can write about that are related to those keywords. So, you can see what’s popular on Facebook, what’s popular on Pinterest, what’s popular from the backlinks perspective, and what’s even popular from an organic SEO perspective. The last factor, and this is number four, is Backlinks. If you don’t get people linking to you, you’re not going to do well. Backlinks are like votes. So, you want to get ideally bigger sites linking to you and more relevant sites. And you can use the Backlinks report within Ubersuggest. And what’s cool is they have a Backlink Opportunity report more specifically, where you can put in your URL and then your competitor URLs. And it’ll show you all the people that linked to your competitors, but don’t link to you. Because if someone links to not just one but two, three, four of your competitors and they don’t link to you, the chances are they don’t mind linking to other people in your space because they’re already linked to lots of your competitors.
