PepsiCo Hires Jonnie Cahill as CMO of International Foods [Video]

PepsiCo has hired Jonnie Cahill as chief marketing officer (CMO) of its international foods business.

The exec joins from a 12-year tenure at Heineken, where he served as USA CMO since 2018. Before that, Cahill was CMO of Spanish telecommunications company Telefónica and held marketing roles at Diageo.

PepsiCo did not respond to requests for comment in time for publication.

The exec joins PepsiCo at a pivotal time, as the food and beverage giant faces tariffs, a responding dip in consumer confidence, and FDA bans on synthetic ingredients and dyes.

In its most recent earnings report, PepsiCo lowered its mid-single-digit percentage growth forecast for this year, citing “volatility and uncertainty” regarding trade developments and potential supply chain cost increases.

PepsiCo reported $17.9 billion in net revenue for Q1 2025, a 1.8% decrease year-over-year.

PepsiCo’s marketing shuffle

Cahill’s hire is the latest executive marketing shuffle at PepsiCo in the past year, as many key leaders have departed the business.
