Kingston Replaces HyperX Brand With Fury [Video]

Back in February, HP acquired Kingston's HyperX gaming division, but it only took control of gaming peripherals, not Kingstron's HyperX memory products. However, Kingston needed a new name for these performance and enthusiast products, and this week it picked one.

From now on, all Kingston DRAM, flash, and SSD products aimed at gamers and enthusiasts will carry the name Kingston Fury.

"We are extremely proud to debut the new Kingston FURY brand representing the highest-performing memory modules for PC enthusiasts and gamers," said Craig Tilmont, Senior Director of Marketing, Kingston. "Kingston's core strength and global leadership as a manufacturer of quality DRAM and flash solutions brings resources and enthusiasm to the brand and firmly demonstrates our dedication to both performance and reliability."

DDR modules look to be the first products carrying the Fury branding, with three new lines expected later this year. Kingston Fury Renegade will offer DDR4 modules running at up to 5,333MHz, Kingston Fury Beast …
