Transmitters often think they’re great listeners and they can be, but it’s often for just a short time. They can fall into the trap of listening to get enough information that they can start their part of the conversation and start telling the stories they want to tell. Transmitters can become much more effective in life and much more effective in their work if they remember that everybody likes to be listened to. They can be more influential, more skillful at sharing what they want to share, more charismatic, and more desired if they learn to let other people talk and learn to draw information out of people so they feel heard and valued.
