In this video, Lisa Galea emphasizes the importance of knowing why you want something, rather than just knowing what you want. They discuss how our brains filter information based on our beliefs, and how we need to be aware of this filter and actively choose what information we want to focus on. Lisa also talks about the danger of comparing ourselves to others and wanting what they have without really understanding what it would entail. Ultimately, the key to getting what you want is understanding your own motivations and desires, and being clear on why you want something before setting goals to achieve it.
