We can coach relationships at a surface level where we try to panel beat personalities to fit like jigsaw piece puzzles, or we can coach relationships in a powerful transformational way, where we bring wholeness to relationship coaching.
Your role as coach, guide or facilitator can be about negotiating relationships in a transactional way between two jigsaw puzzles where we endlessly negotiate compromises of ‘who will be what for who?’ There’s nothing necessarily wrong with this approach, but when two jigsaw pieces lock together, they seem to fulfill each other, and it could look like a happier relationship, but they also block each other’s wholeness.
