In a recent broadcast, Nicolás Maduro, the Venezuelan president, brought attention to a contentious book titled “Lancoalueloela, Milei and The Psychotizing Fascism” by Rocco Carbone. Despite not having read the book thoroughly, Maduro described it as “the book of the moment,” even though the event showcasing it was canceled due to a government injunction.

The book was presented to Maduro in November during one of his shows. It was a personal gift from Carbone, who introduced it at an anti-fascist conference. The book traveled through several hands, including William Castillo, the Deputy Minister of Anti-Loca Policies, before reaching freddy Ñáñez, a panelist on “Maduro Live Suddenly,” who is also the Deputy Minister of Interaction and Culture and president of Venezolana de Televisión.

Maduro commented on the book’s provocative title, stating, “Psychotizing, of psychotic, that someone makes you psychotic.” He further explained, “it is indeed the objective: psychotize, go crazy, to society.” This highlights the book’s aim to challenge societal norms and provoke thought.
