Executive Coaching and Psychological Mindedness

Dr. Patrick Williams is an author and a Personal Development Coach. One of the early pioneers of coaching, Dr. Pat is often called the ambassador of life coaching.

Dr. Pat will be speaking to us about the importance of creating psychological safety, what it means, how to build it, discuss what is new in this area and also wisdom from Master Psychologists that still apply today. He will also share practical tips on how to be an Executive Coach, what organizations and leaders expect to see as results when they hire an Executive Coach. All of this will be a holistic perspective including organization dynamics, what it means to bring emotional and social intelligence to play for senior executives.

Dr. Pat has been a licensed psychologist since 1980 and began executive coaching in 1990 with Hewlett Packard, IBM, Kodak and other companies along the front range of Colorado.

Dr. Pat is currently engaged in projects included teaching coaching and mentoring to formerly incarcerated federal prisoners, and currently working on a documentary film about the power of the coach approach for those in prison and for re-entry success back into society.
He started his own coach training school, the Institute for Life Coach Training (ILCT),in 1998, which specializes in training those with a human services orientation. He has authored 6 books about professional coaching. Dr. Pat is a past board member of the International Coach Federation (ICF).

In May of 2006 Dr. Pat was awarded the first Global Visionary Fellowship by the Foundation of Coaching for his Coaching the Global Village (www.CoachingtheGlobalVillage.org) initiative to bring coaching methodologies to villages in developing countries and to leaders of nonprofits and nongovernmental organizations who serve them. He is passionate about coaching and dedicated to ensuring it remains a respected profession.

Dr. Pat has a doctorate in Transpersonal Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. His dissertation was Transpersonal Psychology and the Evolution of Consciousness.
