Emotional intelligence is the ability to recognize and manage your feelings and those of others to guide how you think and act. Everyone, no matter what job, volunteer, family or friend role, has interactions with other people. Your capacity to be aware of your and others’ emotions and how they impact the way you behave and relate to others, will improve your people skills and help you ultimately be more satisfied and successful.
The good news is that we can all learn and improve our emotional intelligence. The session “Emotional Intelligence: Experience It, Elevate It” will equip you with an understanding of the science of emotions and how they powerfully impact our thinking, decisions and performance. You’ll learn about the six emotional intelligence competencies and example behaviors that demonstrate them so you can enhance your own emotional intelligence.
