In this video, I drove from Portland to Seattle and had the opportunity to meet with Kristiina Hiukka. Kristiina is a Knight of the Order of the White Rose and a leadership and team coach who helps executives reach new heights. In addition, she serves as the Honorary Consul of Finland in Washington State, providing diplomatic and consular assistance to Finnish nationals in the area. I am inspired by Kristiina’s achievements and hope to one day become a Knight of the Order of the White Rose myself.
Join me on a 1,5 month-long road trip across the US as I meet with Finns and explore their experiences and perspectives on what it means to be Finnish in America, success, and failure, and living abroad.
Featuring interviews with IIHF Hockey Hall of Famers, the Ambassador of Finland to the US, a professor at Michigan University, and more, this docuseries offers a unique glimpse into the lives of Finns in the US.
