Blue Ghost comic book launch party aboard the Lexington [Video]

The museum teamed up with a graphic artist who created a character after the iconic ship!

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The U.S.S Lexington Museum is inviting the community for a Blue Ghost comic book launch party this weekend from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The museum teamed up with a graphic artist who created a character after the blue ghost herself!

The 32-page comic book features the Lexington transforming into a mechanized guardian robot.

“It’s a great way to bring a new audience to the Lexington,” the museum’s marketing director, Samantha Koepp-Stemplinger said. “General admission is what really provides the revenue that we need to preserve the ship, and continue providing that legacy, history of former crew to the younger generations.”

Entry to the event is free for those who pay general admission to the ship.
