At the end of 2020 I decided to order a circular sock machine(CSM). This past summer I received it and I began teaching myself how to use it. I did not have any experience using a CSM, however I have used knitting machines like the Addi Express. It was a pretty steep learning curve. Lot’s of ugly socks were made and even more that didn’t even make it into socks.
I pressed on and eventually learned(and am still learning) how to make socks. I’m still making mistakes but getting better with every new sock I make. I’m by no means an expert, but I’m making progress.
This video is the assembly of the CSM(it’s a Lamb LT150) and making a pair of socks. My goal and hope is that one day I’ll be able to start a small business selling handmade socks online. My intention is not to make lot’s of money, but rather, create job opportunities for those that have less opportunities. I have been blessed with many opportunities that have helped me and greatly improved my life. I would like to pay it forward to others.
