Birmingham Public Library developing small businesses through 'Grow with Google' workshops [Video]

For the first time in five years, the Birmingham Public Library is hosting in-person "Grow with Google" workshops for small business development. The workshops kicked off on May 27 and will be held on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the library's central branch. Whether you've started a business or you're just thinking about starting a business, wherever you are in that process, I think the Grow with Google resources, knowing how to access them, knowing how to use them, will be really helpful to you," said Jim Murray with the Birmingham Public Library. The first program focused on AI usage. A list of upcoming programs can be found here. Small business owners need access to IT resources to start and grow their businesses. And the problem frequently is that they may have some knowledge in how to use the resources, but they don't have the financial capability to access them and Grow with Google makes these resources available to them for free and it also provides more in-depth instructions on how to use them," said Murray. The next workshop is on June 24. The workshops will run through October.
