Turning a profit for progress: How a local business owner is helping other female entrepreneurs [Video]

ROANOKE, Va. – Turning a profit for progress, a local entrepreneur is starting a business to help women in Latin American communities by bringing a piece of Ecuador to Roanoke.

Woven Artisan Gallery is an online collection of artisan products for your home handcrafted by women in Ecuador. It’s a passion project for Roanoke architect Josephine Arbaugh, originally from Ecuador, who’s starting the business with the help of the Gauntlet Business Program and Competition.

Arbaugh’s mission is to partner with artisans and designers to help them overcome barriers to success that female entrepreneurs face in developing countries.

“It’s very empowering to be able to bring something new to the area. Something that people may not experience otherwise, products that have a lot of stories and impacts,” Arbaugh said. “Within the gallery website, we will be sharing the story of the artisans that create the product as well as the processes that go into creating each piece.”

The Key to Differentiating Yourself in Business w/ Blair Enns [Video]

In this enlightening video, Blair Enns shares crucial strategies for distinguishing yourself in the business world. He emphasizes the importance of specialization and making bold claims of expertise even before fully achieving them. This approach not only sets you apart but also accelerates skill acquisition and focuses your efforts. Blair explains that making an aspirational claim forces a business to develop necessary capabilities rapidly, transforming how they're perceived in the marketplace. He argues against the comfort of generalism, pushing for a sharp focus that demands differentiation and expertise. This focus leads to repeated practice and refinement, ultimately developing a codified methodology that assures potential clients of reliability and reduced risk. Enns challenges viewers to confront whether they are willing to undertake the hard work required for success, differentiating themselves from those who choose easier, less effective paths. This video is a must-watch for entrepreneurs and businesses eager to stand out and elevate their operations through strategic specialization and commitment to excellence.🥇 Futur Pro The professional creative community designed to grow your personal brand, your business, and your network:https://thefutur.com/pro✍️ Other Courses, Templates, and Tools:https://thefutur.com/shop🎙 The Futur Podcast:https://thefutur.com/podcastRecommended books, tools, music, resources, typefaces & more: https://thefutur.com/recommendationsWe love getting your letters.
