The wheel makes it easy to evaluate the work you’re doing on your personal brand to make sure you really understand all the moving parts of a personal brand and how to go about building it. The Personal Brand Wheel helps evaluate 12 different areas that go into personal brand building, broken down into four quadrants. The first quadrant is Foundation, or the story of your brand and the value you bring your customers. Omnipresence, the second quadrant, is all about where you show up, both in-person and online. The third quadrant, Engagement, is where you interact with your audience and community. Lastly, the fourth quadrant of Transformation dives into the growth that you’re creating in your community or through the products and services you offer. As you go through and assess your brand on these criteria, you’re creating a clear visual map of what is strong and what areas need help. It’s also a great tool to use (and re-use) over time to track progress on how your personal brand has grown. Starting a Business as a Couple Don’t Miss These Tips [Video]

Life and business partners share their insights on running a business successfully as a couple and how to navigate the roadblocks together. Watch more Small Business News & Trends videos: https://bit.ly/biznewsandtrends Subscribe to GoDaddy on YouTube: http://bit.ly/GoDaddy-Subscribe0:00 Should you start a business with your partner?0:23 Benefits of working with your significant other1:31 How to overcome barriers with your business partner2:46 Should you get a business mentor in a partnership?Choosing the right business partner is as crucial as the business itself. But when it comes to starting a business with your significant other, Founders of SimplifyNYC Caleb Dicke and Cole Burden say you may need to adjust your strategy all together to make it work. From their own personal experience, they know firsthand the many advantages of couples in business, such as having an existing foundation of trust and communication that helps them work through things as a team. While personal connection can help the couples’ business in many ways, every business partnership encounters roadblocks throughout the entrepreneurial journey. That’s why Caleb and Cole have learned to ask for help in areas they aren’t skilled in, including accounting and legal. Plus, a good business is one that continues to grow and adapt, so partners need to be willing to change along with it and establish boundaries to keep the momentum going. Having a business mentor who can guide you through those obstacles and knowing when it’s time to add to your team to delegate tasks are also both necessary things to consider to ensure your workflow doesn’t get too overwhelming. Last but not least, Caleb and Cole both agree that trust and consistent communication are the ultimate factors that will help your business and partnership blossom.
