Fun fact… on average, leads will pick up the phone around call attempt #4, but on average real estate agents will only attempt calling 1.5 times. So in other words, we’re not calling our leads nearly enough times. But you know who is? Realtor.com, Zillow and Redfin (and that’s because they have systems in place… which you can now too!)Part of this is forgetting to follow up. Part of it is agents just not understanding the effort needed (or thinking “they ghosted me” or “they don’t want to hear from me”). As a part-time, first-year real estate agent in Cleveland, Ohio, I wasn’t sure where to start, so I purchased some online leads. I didn’t realize it at the time, but the methods I used to follow up had me converting at over double the national average.
