In this video, Michael goes over a few phrases you might hear from your client that can indicate you are giving advice, instead of guiding your client to formulate a solution on their own. It is important to recognize if you are starting to give advice, and re-direct your question to allow the coachee to arrive at their own answer or solution. As a coach, our ego can sometimes get in the way and want to help, however we may not know the best solution. Avoiding the trap of giving advice is important to keep the session client focused.
